It was an absolutely beautiful and sunny day in Wichita Falls, but the sun wasn’t the only bright aspect of this couple’s wedding celebration. The bright colors, the delicious chocolate strawberry cake, the butterfly garden we got to use for portraits… and DJ! She just had that “bride-to-be” glow about her, and Jeremy couldn’t wait to see his best girl walk down the aisle. Prior to the ceremony, the couple got to share the sentiment of a love letter from DJ to Jeremy, which is always so precious. If you don’t want to do a first look but still want that intimate moment, doing some sort of first touch or letter exchange is a great alternative. Speaking of great alternatives, do I have any DIY fans out there? Jeremy & DJ’s day was primarily DIY, and it was all done by the bride and her mom. Not only did they do an amazing job, but they got to put a huge amount of care and love into the smallest of details, which made those small details that much more personal. Personable and selfless. That’s how I would describe this couple. They are SO family and friend-oriented that they truly wanted the focus of their day to be on others, not themselves. It’s rare that you find the bride and groom so invested in and concerned for others, but they were! These two people were so comfortable and friendly with each other, and I’m beyond honored that I got to know them and document their big day!
